Blink-182 Ends Drake’s 9 Week Run Topping Album Chart

Drake’s Views is no longer the #1 album in the country. The fourth studio LP from Canadian’s most successful rap artist has been topped by a rock band from the West Coast.

Blink-182’s California totaled 186,000 equivalent album units in its first week of release. Drake’s Views fell to second place with 117,000 units. Maxwell’s new project, blackSUMMERS’night, lands at #3 with 59,000 units.

Views had spent the last 9 weeks in the pole position of the Billboard 200. The OVO leader is only behind MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice on the list of rappers to score the most weeks in the top spot on the album chart.

Plus, Drizzy tied Michael Jackson for the record of most simultaneous weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 by a male performer.
