Thirty Seconds To Mars Cover Songs By Post Malone, Juice WRLD & Khalid

There’s rarely been a moment in the history of music where rock artists successfully execute a cover of hip-hop tracks. Despite this, bands continue to try and put their spin on hip-hop songs regardless of the outcome. Most recently, Thirty Seconds To Mars made an appearance on BBC’s Live Lounge where they performed a medley of hits from Post Malone, Khalid and Juice WRLD.

Thirty Seconds To Mars put their own spin on a few of the hottest songs out right now. The Jared Leto-fronted band performed a medley of songs including Post Malone’s “Better Now,” Juice WRLD’s “Lucid Dreams” and Khalid & Normani’s duet, “Love Lies.” The band was joined by a choir who helped with the hook of “Love Lies.”

In addition to the medley of songs, the band also performed their song, “Rescue Me” off of their most recent project, America. In a recent interview with NME, Leto explained how pop and hip-hop music were sounds that inspired the project.

“I think that some of the most interesting music in the world is happening in pop music. A lot of pop music is really rather brave. You’ve got the most minimal, efficient, tasteful production happening… we’re living in an era where hip-hop and pop are the dominant forms in pop culture.” He said.
