Atlanta rapper 21 Savage has stepped up to cover the funeral costs for 3-year-old TRhigi Diggs who was killed in a drive-by shooting on Easter Sunday (April 1).
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Diggs was shot in the chest as his mother drove past a gas station on Atlanta’s Bouldercrest Road. The shooting is currently being investigated by DeKalb County police.
Roshonda Craig, Diggs’ father, is a family friend of Savage’s and was reportedly touched by the ATL rapper’s generous offer.
In a recent Twitter post, WSB-TV reporter Tyisha Fernandes wrote Savage “grew up with the family & didn’t want them to worry about money at a time like this.”
The toddler’s funeral takes place on Saturday (April 7) at Israel Baptist Church in the Kirkwood neighborhood.
The ISSA artist announced the 21 Savage Bank Account Campaign to help educate the youth about financial literacy last month.
