50 Cent is taking DaBaby under his wing.
The “Ball If I Want To” rapper met up with the rap veteran in New York this week and got a chance to chop it up. He shared a photo of 50 with his arm around him while reflecting on their hours-long meeting.
“Somebody I been studying for a MINUTE lent me a few hours of his time today,” he wrote. “Ni**as so scared to let me in the room they fu**ed around & let me end up in the room w/ @50cent BIG MISTAKE!”
He also thanked his idol for sharing his knowledge and wisdom. “Beyond grateful for the game. Couldn’t have come from a better source.”

50 plans to continue to serve as a mentor to the 29-year-old rapper and guide him throughout his career, just as he tried to do with his protégé Pop Smoke before his tragic death.
“I lost pop before he could get it, This one already got it and he listen,” 50 commented on DaBaby’s post. “I’m a teach him all the mistakes i made, so he can be better than me. THIS IS HIP HOP!”
DaBaby is gearing up for a new album. He recently dropped a pair of singles, “Ball If I Want To” and “Red Light Green Light,” with a third on the way.
