After teasing fans with a gigantic billboard in Times Square this week, today (May 8), 6ix9ine returns with his comeback single “Gooba.”
Shot and directed by 6ix9ine himself, “Gooba” is a colorful, pretentious ride, which also features his girlfriend Jade. With his rainbow hair intact, 6ix9ine tackles his adversaries with fury on the bombastic track. “N—s wanna chase clout, but I am clout,” he declares on the record.
Things get even messier, as a drenched 6ix9ine switches up the flow halfway through the record. “They say, ‘Been hot, way before coronavirus’ / N—a who did that, n—a who did what, that’s my sh-t, don’t bite it,” he raps.
Later, 6ix9ine concludes his hater-filled raps with a resounding message: “You’re mad, I’m mad, big mad,” he blurts out towards the end of the record. He further aims to agitate his detractors who label him a “snitch” by attaching the head of an animated rat onto his head.
Originally scheduled to pop up today at 3 p.m. EST on Instagram, 6ix9ine has yet to appear. This would mark his first public appearance since he was released from jail last month.
