Here Are the English Lyrics for Bad Bunny’s Kobe Bryant Tribute ‘6 Rings’

Bad Bunny paid tribute to Kobe Bryant with the release of a surprise track called “6 Rings.”

The two-minute song, featuring the voices of sports commentators and Bryant, is a slow-beat hip-hop track on which Bunny thanks the late basketball star for being a big inspiration in his career. Although Bryant is a five-time NBA champion, the Puerto Rican artist coined the song six rings, in honor of Kobe's marriage and four daughters.

In the track, Bunny, like many, can’t fathom the fact that his 13-year-old daughter Gianna also died in Sunday's helicopter crash. “That’s for you to not play alone in heaven,” he sings.

Bryant died at age 41 on Sunday morning following a helicopter crash in Calabasas, Calif. His daughter, a rising basketball player in her own right, was among the nine victims killed in the crash. He is survived by his other three daughters and his wife, Vanessa.

Listen to “6 Rings” and read the lyrics in English below.

INTRO: Sports commentator]
…For the night at least, trying for 80
"Did I miss anything while I was gone?"
"Just another one of many"
"Oh, okay"
Kobe Bryant, 28 for 46 from the field
This will be 18 for 20 from the line and an
81 points! For this crowd for number 8, Kobe Bryant!
Yeah, ey

VERSE: Bad Bunny]
Sometimes I ask myself if I’m doing good by respecting the commandments
And, where is God in these moments?
I know life is short like a book
And in a blink, the wind takes it away
I still remember the first game of yours I witnessed
A thousand emotions, many times you had me on my feet
You taught me that everything in life is done with passion
And to win, you need to have a heart
You taught us that the number 13 is not bad luck
And that failures can make us stronger
Say what you want, for me, he’s the best
Rest in peace with the Lord
And congratulations, you also won six rings
Five with the NBA and a marriage that your daughters gave you
Thinking that one left with you, I get out of control
But nah, that’s for you to not play alone in heaven
More than 81 reasons to admire you
More than five players at the same time to stop you
We were similar in our art
We will always remember you

Outro: Kobe Bryant]
And from the bottom of my heart, thank you
And uh … what can I say?
Mamba out
Kobe, Kobe, Kobe, Kobe, Kobe, Kobe, Kobe, Kobe, Kobe, Kobe, Kobe, Kobe, Kobe
