Shakira and Jennifer Lopez joined forces to close the halftime show of Super Bowl LIV at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Sunday night (Feb. 2) with a medley of two of their signature hits.
After both playing their individual sets, Shakira returned to the stage — playing the drums during Lopez's vocal — before the two global stars joined forces at center stage. Together, they switched off between Jennifer Lopez's block-rocking On the 6 single "Let's Get Loud" and Shakira's rousing "Waka Waka (This Time For Africa),", before dancing side by side to close out the stunning joint performance.
While neither "Let's Get Loud" or "Waka Waka" were among their respective artists' best performing hits on the Billboard charts — the latter peaking at No. 38 on the Hot 100 and the former missing the chart altogether — they've endured as stadium anthems, with "Let's Get Loud" serving as a regular timeout song at football and basketball games and "Waka Waka" of course soundtracking the 2010 FIFA World Cup, as well as many other global sports events since.
