Jennifer Lopez's latest chat with Jimmy Fallon wasn't just about her Super Bowl halftime show: she dropped some news as well, and it involves the two of them in an upcoming movie.
On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday (Feb. 7), Lopez confirmed that she and the late night host will appear in the forthcoming rom-com Marry Me, in which they'll both play roles they're pretty accustomed to.
"It's about a pop star who winds up marrying a random fan from the audience," she explains. "She marries a math teacher in the audience. The math teacher is played by Owen Wilson." Fallon, meanwhile, will make a cameo as himself, and Maluma will play Lopez's love interest-pre Wilson: "He my boyfriend!"
Additionally, Lopez confirmed that Marry Me will include new music on its soundtrack from both her and the Colombian singer and actor. "I did an album with this movie, so there are all new songs, new music with it, so it's exciting," she said. "I have six to eight songs, and Maluma does two or three."
Fans of Maluma knew this was coming, as Lopez made an appearance at his concert at New York's Madison Square Garden back in October, where they were filmed singing "No Me Ames," a duet from the soundtrack, for the movie.
But will she tour behind the new stuff? Lopez mulls it over before leaving the door open for a full-fledged Marry Me era: "You know what? I could do that. But not this year."
