Country singer-songwriter Cam returns with her first taste of new music in two years with the sultry love song “Till There’s Nothing Left.” The song will be featured on her forthcoming sophomore album, due out on RCA Records later this year.
A song about commitment, Cam’s vocals captivate alongside delicate musical accompaniment and a driving beat. “I want to lay down in the dark/ Take a match right to your heart/ I want to hide with you in the rain/ In the eye of a hurricane/ I want to call it for what it is/ Give you everything I’ve got to give/ Till there’s nothing left,” she croons.
Now a new mom to her first child, Lucy, Cam wrote “Till There’s Nothing Left” for her husband Adam Weaver. “My husband and I will go drive and have a quickie in the back of the car,” she says in a statement. “Why am I embarrassed to sing about that? ‘Till There’s Nothing Left’ is a commitment. It's saying – I am gonna love you with everything I have, physically, spiritually, I'm so in.”
Cam unveiled an equally captivating music video with the song’s release today (Feb. 13). The three-minute clip takes place at a honky tonk during what appears to be the beginnings of an apocalyptic world. Fittingly, bar patrons find solace in each other during the destruction as Cam sings while seated at a bar stool.
“It’s the end of the world and I know a little place in the eye of the storm. Let’s live our last moments dancing together in the neon glow,” says Cam. The video was directed by Dano Cerney (The Chainsmokers, Elle King, Bishop Briggs) and shot at the Hitching Post Western Saloon in Portland, Tenn.
