PETA gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at Styles P's new vegan-friendly juice bar, Juices For Life, on Sunday (Feb. 16).
In a video posted to the organization's Twitter account, the hip-hop star explains what led him to create the growing New York-based franchise. "I think eating clean, period, make you feel lighter," he says in the clip. "If I show you all the neighborhoods where my homies eat you'll see a food desert, nothing to eat. You'll see supermarkets with barely any organic products. Food access in these communities are horrible. We have to go to an] upper-class neighborhood to get some asparagus and, you know, kale."
As the co-founder and co-CEO of Juices For Life's three locations (with a fourth soon to open in Brooklyn, NY), the member of The Lox credits his plant-based diet with keeping him healthy. "It keeps me going, it keeps me tickin', it keeps me motivated, it keeps me feeling good," he says before urging, "Respect plants. Respect animals. Watch what you eat."
