Alejandro Fernandez's 'Te Olvide' Jumps to Top 10 on Latin Airplay Chart

Plus, Raymix and Paulina Rubio notch new top 10 on the Tropical Airplay chart with “Tú y Yo.”

Alejandro Fernández scores his 18th top 10 on the Latin Airplay chart as “Te Olvidé” moves 12-9 on the April 25-dated list.

“Te Olvidé” — the second single from Fernández’s all-mariachi album, Hecho En México, climbs with a 27 percent boost in audience impressions (to 10 million) earned in the week ending April 19, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. It follows Hecho’s first single, “Caballero,” which earned Fernández his first No. 1 since February 2010 and his first No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart ever.

“Te Olvidé” concurrently hits No. 1 on Regional Mexican Airplay in its 11th week — a faster climb than its predecessor, which reached the top in its 14th frame. It dethrones Edwin Luna y La Trakalosa de Monterrey’s s “Dormida” after a three-week reign.

Fernández’ Hecho en México, produced by Aureo Baqueiro, arrived at No. 1 on both Top Latin Albums and Regional Mexican Albums.

Raymix & Paulina Rubio Celebrate First Top 10 Together: Elsewhere on the Tropical Airplay chart, Raymix and Paulina Rubio’s “Tú y Yo” jumps 11-7. The Mexican cumbia advances with a lofty 62 percent in plays earned in the week ending April 19.
