Yungblud provided the perfectly hopeful depiction of life in a global pandemic for his new song, “Weird!,” and the rocker shared a visual for the tune on Monday (April 27).
The clip, made entirely with his three-person quarantine crew in Los Angeles, opens with Yungblud pondering the question, “If the world was going to end tomorrow, what would be the last story you told?”
A colorful vignette ensues, showing the singer jamming out at home while musing, “I want luck I want love / Sharing earphones on the bus / And wake up next to you in Glasgow,” before hitting the reassuring hook, “Don’t wreck your brain / It’ll be alright / We’re in a weird time of life.”
The new music video comes on the same day as the new YouTube Originals weekly series, Stay Home With: Yungblud, which will follow the “Kill Somebody” artist through a month quarantined at a rental apartment in Los Angeles along with four friends: his manager, videographer and two bandmates.
