Katy Perry‘s got a way to go yet with her pregnancy, but on Mother’s Day she celebrated by informing the world that her unborn daughter with fiancé Orlando Bloom is already rebelling like a proper rock star. The singer, who appeared before Sunday night’s (May 10) Disney/Mother’s Day-themed episode dressed as Dumbo’s mom, Mrs. Dumbo — appearing on ABC’s Disney Family Singalong: Volume II as well — posted footage of a recent sonogram on Monday morning (May 11) that proved the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
“When your unborn daughter gives you a middle finger from the womb you know you’re in for it,” Perry wrote alongside a short clip in which it appears the baby is flipping the bird in utero.
On Saturday, Perry talked about the joys and challenges of being pregnant during quarantine. In an interview for the virtual SHEIN Together event to benefit the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization (WHO), Perry admitted that pregnancy hormones are in full effect.
“I would say I have five good days and two days where I just, I cry when I look down at my toes or I cry when just doing simple tasks,” she said, speaking to her laptop, which she casually mentioned was sitting on top of a trash can viewers couldn’t see. “I also think a lot of that is probably hormonal.” She also joked that “some of us are gaining the COVID 15 or losing the COVID 15. I might be gaining the COVID 30 ’cause I’m eating for two. So every week, I’m like, you know, different.”
