Cookbook authors Alison Roman and Chrissy Teigen make amends.
Chrissy Teigen is usually all over social media, making her quippy, clever remarks any which way she can. Whether it’s Instagram or twitter, she’s built herself quite the online personality, one that has become more of a mainstay pop culture presence than even her husband, .
Thus, it was surprising to find out the former model-turned-cookbook creator went private on her social media following If you missed the beef, Alison Roman sent some shade Chrissy Teigen’s way in an interview excerpt that quickly went viral, calling out Teigen for what she called a “content farm.” Teigen replied on twitter, explaining her cookbook pursuits and justifying them, “I started cravings because I wanted something for myself. I wanted something John didn’t buy, I wanted something to do that calmed me, made me happy and made others happy, too. Cravings isn’t a “machine” or “farmed content” – it’s me and 2 other women.”

Now, it looks like the two cooks have hashed things out, with Alison Roman offering an apology and Teigen gladly accepting it. Roman’s apology came two-fold, as she first dropped off a quick word on twitter before unveiling a more lengthy response, that dissects why she said what she said.
Teigen said in response to Roman, “thank u for this, @alisoneroman. To be clear, it never once crossed my mind for u to apologize for what you genuinely thought! The comments stung, but they moreso stung because they came from u! It wasn’t my usual news break of some random person hating everything about me!”
She continued, “I often comment about how I wish I could get away with what I used to, now, but the truth is, I don’t. I’ve learned a fuckton from my years being watched (& read) and I can really say it makes you a better person! It makes u think about the impact of what u say/who it might hurt. I still think you are incredibly talented. And in an industry that doesn’t really lend itself to supporting more than a handful of people at a time, I feel like all we have are each other!”
