P!nk wasn’t impressed by the visibly empty balcony seats at President Trump’s campaign rally at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Saturday (June 20).
The 40-year-old pop superstar, who has performed at the approximately 19,000-capacity arena, mocked the rally’s attendance numbers in a biting tweet.
“I think I sold that same place out in five minutes #donkeyshow,” P!nk tweeted in reaction to a televised CNN report discussing the smaller-than-expected crowd at the rally.
“I don’t know, there’s a lot of people dressed as seats. Maybe they’re all in catering,” she sarcastically commented while watching the news clip.
Indeed, P!nk sold out the BOK Center during her Beautiful Trauma Tour in 2018, according to Billboard Boxscore. The singer last played the arena on March 5 of that year.
Trump’s rally in Tulsa, his first in months amid the coronavirus pandemic, marked the relaunch of the his re-election campaign for the upcoming election.
The president had planned on speaking to an expected overflow crowd outside of the BOK Center, but that decision was canceled over speculation that the crowd was too small. Trump campaign officials blamed the cancellation on protestors outside of the arena.
