Chicago drill rapper FBG Duck was killed and two other people were wounded on Tuesday (Aug. 4) in what police are calling a targeted shooting.
The daytime shooting took place in the upscale Gold Coast neighborhood when two dark-colored cars pulled up and an unknown number of gunmen stepped out and began opening fire around 4:26 p.m. ET, according to an incident report from the Chicago Police Department.
Though police do not name victims, the Chicago Sun-Times confirmed that “Slide” rapper FBG Duck (born Carlton Weekly), 26, was hit multiple times and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later from gunshot wounds in the chest, groin and neck.
An unnamed 36-year-old man was taken to the same hospital in serious condition with gunshots wounds to his back and side and a 26-year-old woman sitting in a parked car was shot in the hand. One weapon was recovered at the scene.
The shooters left the scene by car and at press time no arrests were reported and a spokesperson for the Chicago PD confirmed to Billboard that the investigation is ongoing.
