A piece of Nike history is making its return with LeBron James’ first signature shoe — the Air Zoom Generation — remastered for 2023. Arriving in its “First Game†colorway, the sneaker pays tribute to his rookie season’s first home game. Having joined the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team was off to a rocky start and ultimately unable to convert their first win in James’ home debut. While James quickly moved on from the period — achieving meteoric success throughout his career — the sneaker lives on as an artifact.
Having recently surfaced in rumors of a  â€Court Purple†PE release, the Air Zoom Generation makes its official return next month in its classic “First Game†form. In its makeup, a white leather upper is joined by red paneling in mesh as navy accents arrive throughout. Nods to James arrive in the form of his branding at the tongue and co-branding at the sockliner while golden “11-5-2003†embroidery hits the red lining, nodding to the aforementioned home debut.
For those eager to get their hands on the Nike Air Zoom Generation “First Game†reissue, a release date of March 21 is expected via Nike and select retailers at a price of $180 USD.
