Parmigiani Fleurier has just released the Rosa Mystica, the latest novelty timepiece to join its Les Roses Carrées “Collection Grand Feuâ€.
First unveiled in late 2022 with the Rosa Celeste in blue, the collection is an evolution from the Maison’s La Rose Carrée pocket watch. The newly unveiled Rosa Mystica possesses all the defining features of the collection as well as the hallmarks of the La Rose Careé pocket watch, but this time, it’s doused in a rosy red makeover to illustrate a blooming red rose.
Attired in an 18-carat white gold case finished with hand-engraved “La Rose Carrée†patterns, a cabochon-cut garnet adorns the crown while tying into the color code. Also made of 18-carat white gold, the dial is finished with the watchmaker’s signature hand-chiseled Grand Feu enamel in a matching rosy hue. As for the indices and skeletonized delta-shaped hands, both are also plated in 18-carat gold rhodium for a tonal finish.
Gracing the hunter caseback is a large square fractal rose design, which is hand-engraved and colored with multiple layers of enamel. The watch is configured with the PF355 in-house manual-winding calibre, which comes with a minute repeater on the cathedral-style gongs, a continuous chiming sequence, and a power reserve of 72 hours. Completing the Rosa Mystica is a matching red alligator leather strap with hand-stitched details, fastened in place with a white gold pin buckle in a La Rose Careé pattern.
Released as a one-off timepiece, the Rosa Mystica is priced at ₣600’000.00 CHF (approximately $648,688.80 USD). Visit Parmigiani Fleurier’s website to find out more about the watch and its availability.
Elsewhere in watches, Kevin Hart reminisces about his watch-collecting journey with HODINKEE.
