The new capsule from Hedvig and (di)vision reveals the partnership of an unlikely pair – bridging a digital insurance company with a fashion brand. However, it is an interesting pairing nonetheless. Titled TABLEWEAR, the capsule continues (di)vision’s recent FW23 fashion show during Copenhagen Fashion Week.
Setting the stage of a gala party, the fashion brand’s FW23 show founds its energy in showcasing beauty in brokenness. As such, trashed tables, dirty plates, spilled wine and broken cups lines the space of the show. Now, the entities’ TABLEWEAR capsule continues this mission by turning tablecloths into clothes. Comprising the collection is an oversized shirt, short-sleeve button-down shirt, high-waisted shorts, loose drawstring pants and a padded shoulder bag made from the tattered red wine cotton tablecloths crafted during the show. Additionally, the pieces channel early ’00s youth and skate culture.
“The capsule collection forces the viewer to think in new ways and find beauty in something that previously was seen as broken or trashed,†said (di_vision co-founder and creative director, Simon Wick. “In that way, the collection celebrates the very core of both our brands – how to live life to its fullest without worries or regrets.â€
