Disturbing new footage has emerged showing a man believed to be Gucci Mane being held at gunpoint and forced to drop Pooh Shiesty from his 1017 label. The video, which began circulating on Wednesday, July 1, depicts a censored individual standing between the Memphis rapper and an armed assailant.
In the footage, the armed individual demands, “Let them know you dropping me, bruh,” to which the man appearing to be the Atlanta rap icon replies, “I drop you. Pooh Shiesty dropped from 1017.”
According to federal investigators, the video was recorded on the phone of Big30. This evidence aligns with photos released by authorities last week regarding an incident on January 10, where Pooh Shiesty allegedly lured the label head to a Dallas recording studio. Prosecutors claim the rapper and his associates forced the executive to sign a contract release form at gunpoint while robbing him and his entourage.
Pooh Shiesty, his father, Big30, and six other individuals are currently facing charges related to the incident. They remain in custody as they await a trial, which is currently scheduled for February 2027. XXL has reached out to both the U.S. Attorney’s Office and legal counsel for the defense for comment.
The legal proceedings have been marked by significant tension. A security guard who was present during the alleged kidnapping and robbery has submitted a letter to the presiding judge, expressing deep concern for his family’s safety following the encounter. Consequently, the judge has ordered that the defendant remain incarcerated until the trial date.
