Ye has reportedly reached a settlement in the sexual assault lawsuit filed by his former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta. According to documents filed in a Los Angeles court on Tuesday, July 28, the artist reached an unconditional settlement that resolves the case in its entirety. The specific terms of the agreement remain confidential. Arick Fudali, the attorney representing Pisciotta, confirmed the resolution to the press, stating simply, “The matter has been resolved.”
Pisciotta served as an employee for Ye from 2021 to 2023. Her tenure began with contributions to A&R efforts for his Donda album before she transitioned into roles as his personal assistant and chief of staff across his various business ventures, including Yeezy. In 2024, she initiated legal action, accusing the rapper of sexual harassment, including claims of unwanted sexual advances, the transmission of explicit text messages, and exposing himself during a private flight.
The litigation expanded significantly in 2025 when an amended complaint introduced allegations of sexual assault and sex trafficking. Within that filing, Pisciotta alleged that Ye had groped her, attempted to sexually assault her, and forcibly performed oral sex without consent. The complaint further asserted that the artist leveraged promises of career advancement, intimidation, and retaliation to coerce her into compliance with his demands.
Throughout the proceedings, Ye has consistently denied all allegations. Following the expansion of the lawsuit, his representatives characterized the claims as “outrageous” and “demonstrably false.” A spokesperson previously stated that the legal system was not the appropriate venue for such claims, emphasizing that the artist was prepared to defend himself before a jury.
This resolution serves as the latest in a series of legal challenges involving the artist, who has faced multiple lawsuits from former employees in recent years regarding allegations of hostile work environments and unpaid wages. While some of these matters have reached settlements, others remain active in the court system.
