In a formal statement, the individual admitted that the claims were entirely fabricated and that she has never actually met the artist.
The original lawsuit alleged that the incident occurred at a party in 2000, when the accuser was 13 years old. The legal battle involved attorney Anthony Buzbee and his firm, who represented the woman. Following the filing, Jay-Z’s legal team initiated a countersuit against the firm, citing the dissemination of false claims. By February of last year, the initial case was dismissed after the accuser admitted to significant inaccuracies within her narrative.
“My allegations that Shawn Carter raped me or otherwise sexually assaulted me were false,” the woman stated in her recent retraction. While the accuser’s new legal counsel, J. Blair Newman, maintains that his client was a victim of sexual assault by an unidentified party, the case against Jay-Z has been definitively resolved.
