Kendrick Lamar has officially cemented his status as a touring juggernaut, earning the highest-grossing touring year by a rapper in history. According to data reported on September 24, 2026, the artist’s massive Grand National Tour generated a staggering $390.7 million in revenue.
The financial milestone was achieved through the sale of 2.037 million tickets across 47 performances throughout 2025. The tour, which featured a co-headlining run with SZA, maintained immense momentum from its kickoff in April through its conclusion in December.
Addressing the Success
Following the announcement, TDE executive Punch took to social media to address the historic achievement and clarify the collaborative nature of the tour. “390 is nuts lol. Extremely grateful!” he wrote on X. He further emphasized that the success was a testament to both artists’ individual drawing power, noting that while the tour was a joint effort, both Kendrick Lamar and SZA were capable of commanding stadium-level audiences independently.
“You can’t discredit Dot by saying it’s cause SZA was on the tour. Nor can you discredit SZA by falsely claiming she didn’t headline. Both things are true. Dot got the highest grossing rap tour of all time AND SZA co-headlined. lol. Another truth, they both could’ve did separate stadium tours with similar results. But chose to do it together because… FAMILY.”
Setting a New Standard
The Grand National Tour officially surpassed the previous record-holder, Drake‘s 2023-2024 It’s All a Blur Tour, which featured 21 Savage and grossed $320.5 million over 80 shows. Kendrick Lamar’s ability to eclipse this figure in fewer dates highlights the unprecedented demand for his live performances.
As the industry looks ahead, the bar for rap touring has been significantly raised. Meanwhile, other major artists continue to prepare for their own upcoming cycles, with Drake recently teasing a 2027 tour in support of his Iceman, Habibti, and Maid of Honour albums.
