A.B. Quintanilla III, brother and producer of the late Selena, will be connecting with his fans on Facebook in honor of the singer’s birthday today (April 16).
Quintanilla, who’s the mastermind behind hits such as “Como La Flor,” “Amor Prohibido,” and “Baila Esta Cumbia,” has teamed up with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for a special live stream performance in honor of Selena’s 25th anniversary since her passing, as well as the family’s longtime support of St. Jude.
The artist is scheduled to do the Livestream at 8 P.M. CST on his Facebook and at 9 P.M. CST on an Instagram Live.
The #SingForStJude music campaign, which kicked off with a Livestream by Grupo Control, is a series of stay-at-home performances that bring positivity to viewers and also acknowledges artists’ support for the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
In addition to A.B.’s performance and what would have been the Queen of Tejano’s 49th birthday today, Billboard wants to share a throwback gem, where the musician shares never-before-told anecdotes about Selena, such as how she was tired of singing “Como La Flor” live.
