adidas has rolled out the latest colorway to its hybrid Copa Premiere sneaker. Notably inspired by the iconic Copa Mundial, which was donned on the pitch by the likes of Zinedine Zidane, Diego Maradona and Franz Beckenbauer, the shoe has been transformed to bring the same level of performance and style to skateboarding.
The low-profile shoe features an all grey upper that is crafted in premium leather and a tonal canvas quarter. Complementing the cloud white three stripes along the base is a metallic silver heel tab, along with textile lining at the toebox. Rounding the sneaker out is a a grippy, flexible cupsole and a high-grade EVA midsole to complete the look.
Whether playing cage football, skating around town or just a solid sneaker to add to your rotation, the Copa Premiere carries the spirit of a storied classic, while maintaining an air of freshness that is entirely new. The “Grey One†iteration will release via adidas’ UK website for £80 GBP / $102 USD on July 3.
Speaking of Zizou, Hypebeast recently caught up with the French phenom to chat about his latest partnership with EA SPORTS.
