On January 28th, Robinhood blocked the purchasing feature for shares related to GameStop as well as other stocks. This platform managed to become popular for increasing the accessibility of investments for every person and now, users are calling out its hypocrisy, after it blocked the options to buy stocks a few hours after GameStop stock boomed. Ja Rule was one of the people who felt infuriated, as he endorsed the app a few hours before this move. He stated that it is a crime and that people should not sell and must hold the line.
