Howard also confirmed solo tour dates.
The announcement comes along with the album's lead single, "History Repeats," which exhibits Howard's jazzy side. It's funky and warm and, while it may sound more dialed down than usual, the politically-charged message behind it is most certainly not.
The album is named after Howard's sister, who died from cancer when the two were teenagers. “The title is in memoriam, and she definitely did shape me as a human being,” Howard said in a statement social media. “But, the record is not about her. It’s about me. I’m pretty candid about myself and who I am and what I believe. Which is why I needed to do it on my own.”
She will also take the record on tour, which kicks off on Aug. 17 in North Carolina and wraps on Oct. 13 in Georgia.

Brittany is excited to announce “Jaime”, her debut solo album coming September 20.
