Rising singer Angela Aguilar has signed with UTA, Billboard learned.
The sixteen-year-old singer, who was born in Los Angeles, made her debut in March 2018 with her album Primero Soy Mexicana. The same year, Aguilar was nominated as Best New Artist at the Latin Grammys and the set was nominated as Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album, and for a Grammy Award for Best Regional Mexican Music Album.
Angela Aguilar represents the third generation of a recording artist family. She is set to join her father, Grammy Award-winning Pepe Aguilar, on select dates in Mexico during his Jaripeo Sin Fronteras tour this fall. She is currently working on a new album for 2020.
