Ashlee Simpson announced Thursday (April 30) she’s pregnant with her third baby, her second with husband Evan Ross.
“The fam is growing. Ash and I can’t wait to welcome the newest addition,” Ross wrote on Instagram with a picture of the couple showing off her positive pregnancy test. Celebrities including Cassie, Sofia Richie, Jesse McCartney, Miguel, JoJo and more congratulated the couple on their news.
But the two acknowledged being pregnant in the midst of a pandemic can bring on extra stress and wanted to support other families who could relate.
“During this unprecedented time, we know pregnant women may be under greater stress which is why we are supporting @marchofdimes Mom and Baby #COVID19 Intervention and Support Fund,” Simpson wrote on her respective Instagram post.
Both redirected their followers to March of Dimes’ account with more information about the fund that addresses “research, advocacy, education, resources and support to protect moms, babies and families from COVID-19 and the unknown future effects of the virus.”
Simpson and Ross have one 4-year-old daughter together, Jagger Snow. Simpson also has an 11-year-old son, Bronx, with her first husband and Fall Out Boy frontman Pete Wentz.
