ASICS Outfits the Trail-Ready GEL-SONOMA 15-50 in Two Fresh Looks

Across the past few months, ASICS has furthered its momentum in the footwear scene with a focus on the GEL-SONOMA 15-50. Collaborative launches featuring the silhouette have come from A.P.C., Andersson Bell and Matin Kim. Now, it continues its conquest with two new grey-flavored colorways.

The GEL-SONOMA 15-50 — inspired by cross-country silhouettes from ASICS’ archive — blends technical construction with a build prepped for exploration. Its lacing system nods to hiking with its sturdy arrangement and rope laces while a layered upper with reflective hits ensures its street-readiness. Borrowing tooling from the first two GEL-SONOMA trail shoes, colors are able to weave from one point to another with fluidity. Leading this duo of looks, “Olive Grey/Fawn” offers muted greens paired with a dusty purple that spans from the heel to the toe box. Both colorways utilize a ripstop base with the “Oyster Grey/Clay Grey” pair favoring a monochromatic presentation that is complemented by hits of off-white at the midsole and laces.

For those interested in grabbing either shoe, both are available now via ASICS at a price of $120 USD each. Overseas, atmos Tokyo has pairs for sale at a price of ¥13,200 JPY (approx. $100 USD).

For more in the footwear space, COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT has outfitted the ASICS VIC NBD in two monochromatic looks.
