While making the rounds with his sophomore album YHLQMDLG released on Leap Day, Bad Bunny also took the time to decode some of his famous tweets.
In a video titled #BehindTheTweets with Bad Bunny, the Puerto Rican stopped by the Twitter offices to reveal the story behind some of his online messages written in Spanish as @SanBenito.
The “Ignorantes” singer once tweeted about wearing seat belts because it feels as if he was being hugged. In the YouTube video, he further explained that he does indeed feel protected. In regards to a tweet that said in all caps, “Necesito una pizza ahora,” Bunny expressed his obsession with the cheesy meal. “The love I have for pizza can’t be compared to anything else.” He also got real about a lyric from Toño Rosario’s “Culiquitaca” that he once tweeted. “That day I was really happy and all I had in my mind was…” he proceeded to sing the song.
“That summer of Pokemon GO was beautiful,” read another tweet he talked about. “I remember that summer when everyone was playing Pokemon GO. I played it with my friends in Puerto Rico until about 6 or 7 a.m. I wasn’t famous at that time, it was one of the last few days I had liberty, where I was able to get out of the car barefoot looking for Pikachu.”
Bad Bunny, alongside Ozuna, leads the 2020 Billboard Latin American Music Awards as a 14-time finalist. The awards show will air live April 23 on Telemundo, following the three-day event and panel series LatinFest+ presented by Billboard and Telemundo in Las Vegas.
