‘YHLQMDLG’ regains its No. 1 rank, earns Bad Bunny a total of 68 weeks at No. 1.
Bad Bunny’s YHLQMDLG ascends 2-1 on the Top Latin Albums chart (dated June 20), marking the set’s 13th nonconsecutive week atop the chart.
With YHLQMDLG retaking the No. 1 spot on the current chart, Bad Bunny nabs a total of 68 career weeks at No. 1 on Top Latin Albums, a total that lifts him into a tie with Gloria Estefan for the third-most weeks ever at No. 1 on the list. Estefan has achieved her 68 weeks at No. 1 through three No. 1 albums. The chart began in 1993.
Only two acts stand above them: Enrique Iglesias with a total of 80 weeks at No. 1 (from eight No. 1 albums) and Selena with an overall 77 weeks on top (from seven leaders).
Bad Bunny first ruled with X100PRE for 46 nonconsecutive weeks in January 2019- February 2020, followed by OASIS, with J Balvin, for eight nonconsecutive weeks (July-Sept. 2019), YHLQMDLG (March-June 2020 and counting) and Las Que No Iban a Salir (May 23-dated tally).
The Top Latin Albums chart ranks the most popular Latin albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units comprise traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).
Estefan’s 68 weeks on top encompass three No. 1 albums. Her first, Mi Tierra — which was also the first No. 1 on the first Top Latin Albums chart in 1993 — spent 58 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1.
She also hit No. 1 with Alma Caribeña — Caribbean Soul (seven straight weeks, June-July 2000) and 90 Millas (three nonconsecutive weeks in October 2007).
Below Estefan and Bad Bunny, five other acts have racked notable stays atop Top Latin Albums, all representing different Latin genres: Ozuna (64 weeks), Luis Miguel (63), Marc Anthony (53), Daddy Yankee (50) and Shakira (48).
Beyond No. 1, Bad Bunny places three of his four studio albums in the latest Top Latin Albums top 10: As previously mentioned, YHLQMDLG back at No. 1, Las Que No Iban a Salir at No. 2 and X100PRE at No. 3. The albums overall sum equates to 49 thousand equivalent album units earned in the week ending June 11, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
