Björk has found her match in her latest collaborators, Shygirl and Sega Bodega. The experimental Icelandic artist is typically quite selective when it comes to features, opting to work solo most of the time, making her surprise new “ovule” remix an exciting cut for fans to hear.

The original version of the song, which comes off of the new fossora LP, hears Björk explore themes of love and fragility, and was written and produced by the artist herself. In true Björk fashion, she also arranged the track’s eclectic instrumentation.

For the remix, Sega Bodega brings a futuristic, club-ready beat, while Shygirl contrasts Björk’s aching vocals with her own silky, hyper pop-sounding verses. A visual for the track was created by M/M Paris.

Sega Bodega described his contribution to the remix as “kind of a full circle moment here, for me at least. The three of us had an evening of all listening to music we loved at Shy’s place last year and after absorbing that the remix came together pretty quickly – we like things fast.”

In a statement, Björk wrote that it was “nourishing” to make music with Shygirl and Sega Bodega and celebrated their live performance of the track in London.
