Blacksmith Releases Soulful “Price of Love” with Skinnyman and Statik Selektah

British rapper and producer Blacksmith ponders what’s the price of love on his new single, an accomplished celebration of underground rap titans.

“Price of Love” is a hip hop track to the core, a collaboration that goes beyond the borders of the U.K. Production is handled by New York producer Statik Selektah, known for his work with countless hip hop icons. Blacksmith also enlists Skinnyman, the North London emcee known for his classic 2004 record, Council Estate of Mind. Together, the trio push U.K hip hop in the right direction, a necessary track for rap purists to enjoy and those seeking an alternative bridge between American and British hip hop.

Blacksmith has worked his way through the industry, supporting acts such as Common, Lupe Fiasco and Brother Ali, while also serving as a radio host and hosting hip hop events. “Price of Love” feels like a victory lap for his accomplishments, putting his talents in exactly the right pocket.
