Suga is letting BTS fans in on the artistic process — in more ways than one.
BTS’ ARMY already knew the group was preparing to work on a new album, thanks to an update from RM last week. Now, Suga has dropped some more clues about what’s to come while live streaming himself quietly painting on YouTube.
“We’re already working on a new album again,” he said on the April 24 stream, according to a translation by Soompi.
Suga added: “Before we started, we decided who was in charge of what. Who would oversee everything, who would oversee the visuals, who would oversee the music — we split that up. We discussed it amongst ourselves and made the decision.”
“A video about that will be released soon, so please watch it,” he teased.
Suga didn’t quite have enough time to finish his live streaming work of art within an hour, but he offered to post the finished piece on Twitter and Weverse.
“I think I know why people paint now. This feels really soothing,” the BTS member said. He also commented, “Just like when I make music, I’m following my instincts. I have a feeling this will become a great hobby.”
