An extended interview, a performance and a New York tour are all in store on Feb. 24.
BTS will take over the entire Tonight Show on Feb. 24. Because the K-pop megastars don't do anything small, the entire hour will be devoted to them, including an extended interview segment, a performance and a visit to iconic New York spots with host Jimmy Fallon during the hour.
“We wanted to do something special for BTS and, at the same time, celebrate New York City. BTS really knocked it out of the park," said Fallon in a statement. "You’re not going to believe how big and fun their performance is. They took over Grand Central Terminal. It’s BTS on NBC from NYC at GCT…wait, this is getting weird, isn’t it? Just watch the show on Monday, Feb. 24.”
Before the appearance was taped, Fallon asked fans last week to send in questions for the group for a chance to have their queries answered on the show. As with all things BTS, the release said after the call-out hashtag (#FallonAsksBTS) was posted on the Feb. 6 show, The Tonight Show trended at #1 worldwide.
BTS first appeared on The Tonight Show in 2018 and their upcoming takeover follows on the heels of similar stunts featuring Justin Timberlake, Cher, Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus.
If you just can't wait two weeks, Netmarble, the second-largest shareholder of BTS’ company Big Hit Entertainment, announced on Tuesday (Feb. 11) that a special Valentine’s Day update to its mobile game "BTS World" is out now. The love-themed update will feature a new event stage and story, a special costume sticker pack and more.
