Cady Groves Dead: Musicians Mourn Singer

In the wake of Cady Groves‘ untimely passing at the age of 30, her friends and former collaborators in the music community are turning to social media to express their disbelief and honor the late singer-songwriter.

“I’m so so sad to find out about the passing of @cadygroves…will miss her very much. the music we made together completely changed my life,” wrote Cheat Codes‘ Trevor Dahl, who duetted with the singer on 2011’s “Oh Darling” as Plug In Stereo, while Hot Chelle Rae frontman Ryan Follesé tweeted, “Jesus. Rest easy @cadygroves… There was nobody like you and there never will be.”

According to a social media post by her brother, both foul play and self-harm have been ruled out as Groves’ cause of death. Best known for her 2012 hit “This Little Girl” — the video for which starred Vanderpump Rules‘ Tom Schwartz and featured a cameo appearance by Blake Shelton — Groves had most recently released an EP in 2015 titled Dreams.
