Cardi B Admits She Thought of Having an Abortion

Cardi B ducked, dodged and manuvered around pregnancy rumors for weeks, but now that she’s finally officially announced the news of a little one on the way, she’s getting asked the tough questions. During an interview with The Breakfast Club, the star talked about morning sickness, working while pregnant and her initial thoughts on becoming a mom.

Before sharing how she told Offset of the news, she revealed that opting out of having the baby crossed her mind. She ultimately decided to keep her child, after realizing that she’s “prepared for this.”

“Kinda, sort of,” Cardi told the show’s hosts after Charlamagne tha God asked if she thought about “not having the baby.”

“And then again, it’s just like, no,” she added. “I just didn’t want to deal with the whole abortion. I just didn’t.”

“I just didn’t want to,” she continued. “And it’s just like… You know what, I’m a grown women. I’m 25 years old. I’m gon say this in the most humblest way: I’m a shmillionare.”

The mom-to-be went on to say that it “disgusts” her to see fellow women telling her that they “feel sorry” for her and proclaim that her “career is over.” “As a women, why can’t I have both? Why I gotta choose a career or a baby?” she asked.

“I don’t wanna wait until I’m 30-something to have a kid. …] I want my kid now that I have energy and stuff,” Cardi said.

The Invasion of Privacy artist reveled that Offset was happy about the baby, after saying that she’s “thugging out” her morning sickness while working and jugging performances.

The star still didn’t come out and say that she’s expecting a girl though. However, her sister Hennessy accidentally spilled the news already. Twenty-one-year-old Hennessy Carolina posted a sweet, lengthy message to her older sister and her unborn child, inadvertently mentioning the babys gender.

While Hennessys original Instagram post was riddled with slip-ups, the star corrected the caption, taking out any references to the babys gender. However, The Shade Room had already screen shot her mistakes.

A baby is truly a blessing from God, Hennessy began. I know how much you always wanted to be a mom! After writing how excited she is to become an aunt, Hennessy said, Im going to be able to hold baby you and give her all the kisses and hugs.

Im passing my daughter crown down, the star added.

In the corrected version of the post, Hennessy changes the caption to read: Im going to be able to hold ur baby and give the baby all the kisses and hugs! your pregnancy is mines we pregnant cant believe were having a baby!

Sadly, the Invasion of Privacy artist wasn’t able to hide the news as well as she would’ve like to. Late March, photos of Cardi’s baby bump hit the internet, revealing the news before she was ready.

According to MTO News, Cardi planned to reveal her pregnancy in Miami. However, before she could do so, someone snapped pictures of her burgeoning belly, splashing the news all over the internet.

In the photos “taken from BEHIND SOME BUSHES” viewers can see the rapstress dressed in an elaborate costume, featuring a yellow full-length skirt and bedazzled top. While a stylist maneuvers the material of the skirt, he cups the fabric just right, giving off a nearly perfect view of Cardi’s baby bump.
