Cardi B Album Hold Up Reportedly Due To Contract Renegotiations

Over the past few months, she’s given fans updates on the status of the project, though the coronavirus pandemic put it on hold for the time being. Other factors have played a role in its delay too, according to reports. Per Hits Daily Double, Cardi B’s new album is being held up because she’s reportedly in the midst of renegotiating her record deal. Cardi’s signed to Atlantic records and insiders stated that a “protracted renegotiation” is pushing the release date back.

Mind you, these are rumors but given that people are it only makes sense that she’s trying to make sure that the business side of things is in order. On top of that, if this is truly a money move, it would be wise for her to unleash the project when she’s able to hit the road on an actual word tour since she wasn’t able to do that with her debut album.
