Cardi B surprised fans when she announced her pregnancy last month.
So just how did one of the biggest stars on the planet keep such a big secret? The “Up” rapper posted a TikTok video that showed how she cleverly hid her baby bump by wearing patterned clothing and striking certain poses.
In the clip, Cardi can be seen wearing a blue patterned crop top with matching leggings while stretched out against a white wall. The angle and outfit make it appear as though she is not pregnant.
Cardi then poses in front of a mirror in the exact same outfit before turning to the side to reveal her pregnant stomach. The clip is accompanied by a voiceover that says “Nobody’s going to know,” while Cardi captioned it, “How would they know?”
Cardi’s 99 million Instagram followers admitted that they were fooled by the optical illusion. “LMAOOO YOU FINESSED US ALL!!” wrote one, while Chloe Bailey commented, “This is everything.”
Kulture’s mother announced that she and Offset were expecting their second child during her performance with Migos at last month’s BET Awards. She also shared a series of photos from her maternity shoot including one where her husband wraps his arms around her naked body.
“We listened to each other, communicated, prayed and then God blessed us and our family with another little blessing,” Cardi wrote in her caption. “Our home feels so blissful and very busy but we are ready and so happy!! Thank you soo much everyone for the congrats and well wishes.”
