Carlos Arroyo officially makes his comeback to the music scene with his new single “Baila Reggaeton,” in collaboration with Zion & Lennox, premiering exclusively on Billboard today (March 5).
The single, produced by Los Legendarios and managed by Duars Entertainment, also marks Arroyo’s first release under the independent record label, RIMAS.
The two Puerto Rican acts have joined forces for a catchy reggaeton song about a couple dancing to the urban beat all night long. The music video, filmed by Gustavo “Gus” Camacho from Mastermind Entertainment in Miami, shows Arroyo, the renowned duo, who is a finalist at the 2020 Billboard Latin Music Awards, and a group of dancers having a good time in a neon-wrenched warehouse.
“I’m really excited about the release of my new single, and it’s truly an honor to collaborate with icons of the urban genre,” the former NBA star said in a press statement. “I feel super proud about this project that we’ve been working for quite some time and I’m happy to share it with all my fans.”
Arroyo kicked off his music career in 2009 and has collaborated with artists such as Yomo and Ivy Queen. He previously became a household name thanks to his basketball career. From 2001 to 2011, he played for the Toronto Raptors, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Boston Celtics, Orlando Magic and Miami Heat, becoming the fifth Puerto Rican player to play in the NBA.
After a nine-year hiatus from the music biz, Arroyo returns with “Baila Reggaeton.” Watch the music video below:
