Cauty has signed a deal with Universal Music Latin Entertainment, Billboard can exclusively reveal today (Aug. 6).
Under the signing, the record company will bring Cauty’s breed of new music to the masses, including the forthcoming “Mera Ma” featuring Alexis & Fido, marking his first single under the label.
Born Christian Daniel Mojica Blanco in Cagua, Puerto Rico, Cauty is a singer, songwriter, and producer who first got on the spotlight in 2018 with his Rafa Pabon-assisted “Ta To Gucci,” part of his EP, Cauty vs. Young Cauty. The star-studded remix, featuring Brytiago, Cosculluela, Darell, and Chencho Corleone, counts with nearly 170 million video views since its release.
Combining Hip-Hop, trap, reggaeton, and his Caribbean vibes, Cauty, which is also short for “Doctor Cautiverio,” is poised to take urban Latin music in a whole new direction.
Since kicking off his career, the Puerto Rican artist has already collaborated with artists such as Jowell & Randy, Guaynaa, Ñejo, Myke Towers, Rauw Alejandro, and many more.
