Chance the Rapper and his childhood sweetheart Kirsten Coley prove once more they are couple goals and family goals, gracing the latest cover of Parents magazine.
Chance took to Instagram on Thursday (Aug. 5) to share the cover photo (which also features the duo’s adorable daughters Kensli and Marli), with the fitting caption, “Mom and Dad.”
The rapper and Kirsten also sat down for an interview with the publication, discussing what it’s like to raise Black children amid the Black Lives Matter movement and the current racial climate in the United States.
“My kids are young. Mainly, we’ve been teaching Kensli to love herself, to understand that her opinion is important, to understand that Black is beautiful and that Black power is her superpower,” Chance revealed, before lightheartedly adding, “Marli, I’ve just been trying to teach her how to walk.”
He also explained that 2020’s tumultuous nature helped him grow. “I feel like I’m 30 now,” he said. “I definitely felt like I was 26 for a while and now I just feel like I’m straight 30, which isn’t really that grown. I just feel grown as hell.”
