Chris Brown is expected to enter a plea in connection with his new assault case. Meanwhile, police in London have announced the arrest of rapper HoodyBaby for his alleged involvement in the same assault that Breezy is charged with.
Chris Brown and HoodyBaby Face Charges for Alleged Assault
Chris Brown’s legal dilemma continues as the crooner remains behind bars after being charged with an alleged 2023 assault and denied bond. Brown’s case has since been transferred to Southwark Crown Court in London, where he’s expected to enter a plea, Daily News reported on May 17. The singer’s next court date is set for June 13, which is five days after he was scheduled to begin his Breezy Bowl XX World Tour.
Brown was arrested at The Lowrey Hotel by the Metropolitan Police in Manchester, England after arriving in the city on May 14. He was booked on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm for allegedly attacking music producer Abe Diaw at Tape nightclub in Mayfair, Central London, in February of 2023.

HoodyBaby Arrested and Charged With Alleged Assault
On May 17, the Metropolitan Police Department announced HoodyBaby, born Omololu Akinlolu, has also been taken into custody for the 2023 incident. HoodyBaby has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.
Diaw claims the unprovoked attack happened when Brown hit him over the head with a bottle and then punched and kicked him when he fell to the ground. Diaw reportedly filed a $16 million lawsuit against Brown in connection with the incident, according to The Sun. It is unclear what role HoodyBaby played in the alleged incident.
