Back in 2004, Ciara spent seven weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 with her debut single “Goodies,” a feat she looks back on as an “amazing” achievement.
Speaking with Billboard, the singer recalled being on camera the year before her graduation. When asked where she saw herself a year from then, she replied that she would have a No. 1 on the Billboard chart. “And God is good,” she says. “That happened for me.
“The songs that followed after, for a good while just kept going and going, so it's been a blessing,” she continues. “It does feel good when you see your song chart, and when you have a No. 1 Billboard song. It's always something special.”
