Dame Dash Criticizes The Breakfast Club Over Bankruptcy Coverage

Dame Dash has publicly challenged The Breakfast Club for their focus on his ongoing bankruptcy issues while ignoring his professional achievements.

Entrepreneur and media figure Dame Dash has publicly called out The Breakfast Club, expressing deep frustration over the radio show’s consistent coverage of his financial struggles. Dash argues that the platform prioritizes reporting on his bankruptcy proceedings while systematically ignoring his positive contributions and business ventures.

The tension escalated following a report by The Breakfast Club host Loren Lorosa on Thursday, August 6, which detailed that a trustee overseeing Dash’s bankruptcy case has filed documents seeking permission to sell his “life rights.” This potential sale would encompass his life story, voice, image, likeness, and biography, effectively putting his personal history up for auction to satisfy outstanding debts.

In response to the report, Dash took to social media to voice his grievances, questioning the motives behind the coverage. “I just feel like you guys make it too obvious,” Dash stated in a video. “Why don’t you ever talk about any of the good stuff? Are you guys trying to line me up? Are you guys trying to amplify a narrative?”

Dash further criticized the nature of the reporting, specifically addressing Lorosa. “Why are you the voice of everything bad and nothing good, Loren? It’s like a case study on stupidity, or alleged Devil worship. I don’t know. Either way, I’m hustling,” he added, before pivoting to promote his BET series, OG Stories.

Following the backlash, Loren addressed the situation on Friday, August 7, maintaining that her reporting was objective. She clarified that she holds no personal animosity toward Dash and was simply delivering a story that was relevant to her audience.
