A new series from independent promoter Danny Wimmer Presents, Offstage with DWP, will launch on Friday (June 12) at 7 p.m. ET with an airing of Metallica’s 2017 headlining set from MAPRFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
“Additional content to be posted in the coming weeks includes selected songs from the Foo Fighters’ headline set at Sonic Temple 2019, interviews with Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach, Brent Smith of Shinedown, Randy Blythe of Lamb Of God, Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless, as well as brand new acoustic performances from Tim McIlrath of Rise Against, Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger of Halestorm, a mixology session with Fletcher Dragge of Pennywise, and so much more,” reads a statement about the series.
The exclusive performances, interviews and acoustic sets will be streamed on DWP’s YouTube, Facebook and Twitch channels. DWP has been hit hard by the COVID-19 shutdown, which has caused the postponement and cancelation of its festivals, including Louder Than Life, Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival, Hometown Rising Country Music & Bourbon Festival, Aftershock and Bourbon & Beyond, among others.
