unnamed-7 DC Spitter MoneyMarr Announces Next Project, Duels with Rah Swish in "War"

MoneyMarr unleashes his rhymes in high-energy torrents, running roughshod over instrumentals with his lockstep cadences. Taking steps to turn his meteoric rise into long-term gains, MoneyMarr announces Millionaire Mindset, his upcoming project.

“If you have a millionaire mindset, you’re always maintaining focus on improving your lifestyle until you become a millionaire,” explains MoneyMarr. “It’s like a Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ mindset. Like a Paid in Full mindset. That mindset. Hard on money.”

With a style that derives from the tumbling flows of his native DMV and the hard-edged attitude of the Dirty South, Marr raps with a polish and lyrical acuity that belies his 18 years, determined to prove that he has the mentality to use his gift to make a better life for his family and community. The project is home to recent single “Cut Like That,” a relentless slapper that showcases Marr’s escalating flexes. With production from JetsonmadeBankroll Got ItYung Lan, and more, Millionaire Mindset arrives on December 18th via 1019 GS/EMPIRE.

“With Millionaire Mindset, people can definitely expect a different flow and a different vocabulary from my past releases,” says MoneyMarr. “And probably a different vibe, for sure. I won’t lie, all my old sh*t used to be trap sh*t. So this vibe right here is definitely gonna be different. It’s gonna bring a whole new mindset about me. People gonna think differently about me.”

To accompany the announcement of the project, MoneyMarr shares “War,” an intense, drill-influenced new anthem. Joining forces with Rah Swish, a Pop Smoke associate and Brooklyn drill expert, MoneyMarr readies for battle in “War,” scheming on ways to grow his bankroll and enjoy the spoils: “Every first of the month, I pull up on a stash.” In the video, directed by Wavylord, MoneyMarr and Rah Swish congregate with their associates in front of a powerful series of background images (including an image of The White House on fire and images from this year’s Black Lives Matter protests) as they flash their ice and offer a stern warning to anyone who would cross them.

Just 18-years-old, MoneyMarr is already one of the most notable names in a burgeoning DMV rap scene with four mixtapes under his belt. He drew attention with his 2018 tape Youngest Trappestand especially its opening track “Whip Out The Stick,” which has over 2 million Spotify streams and 3.4 million YouTube views. The Southeast DC rapper has toured with G Herbo and has frequently sold out clubs as a headlining artist (including NY’s S.O.B.’s). Earlier this year, Marr dropped Exotic Habits, a 14-track tape with appearances from fellow DMV standouts XanMan and Black Fortune. Stay tuned for much more from this rising star, whose stylistic evolution is just beginning.
