Detail, Producer Who Won Grammy For Beyonce’s ‘Drunk In Love,’ Arrested on Sexual Assault Charges

Detail, the Grammy-winning music producer who worked on records for Beyonce, Drake, Lil Wayne and many more, was arrested Wednesday (Aug. 5) in Los Angeles on multiple sexual assault charges.

The producer (real name Noel Fisher) is facing 15 sexual assault charges and five additional felony assault-related charges, relating to incidents dating from 2010 to 2018, reads a statement issued by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The L.A. Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed the charges July 31, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Bail was set at $6.29 million, LASD officials said.

The Detroit-born songwriter and record producer has worked with a who’s who of stars in the hip-hop and pop world, including Future, Maroon 5 and Wiz Khalifa.

A classically trained musician, he won the best R&B song Grammy in 2005 for co-writing Beyonce’s hit “Drunk In Love,” and has earned nominations for album of the year (with Beyonce) and best rap song (with We Dem Boyz).

Fisher released a solo studio album in 2015, Noel, and he has written with or for the likes of Ashanti, Jennifer Lopez, Mila J, Nelly and Nicki Minaj, according to his page on the Sony/ATV Music Publishing site.

In 2019, a model and aspiring singer Kristina Buch was awarded $15 million in a lawsuit alleging Fisher raped and sexually and emotionally abused her.

At the time, Billboard reported Buch was one of six women, including some established professionals, who had spoken out publicly against what they said was the producer’s sexual aggression. At least two filed their own lawsuits.
