As the coronavirus continues to spread, a number of cities have been mandating the shutdown of bars, restaurants and event venues in order to minimize large gatherings.
One of the restaurants affected is Dierks Bentley‘s Whiskey Row in Nashville, and the country crooner took to social media to reveal the steps he’s taking to help out his employees who will be out of work for the next few weeks.
“My heart goes out to all the guys/girls down on Lower Broad. Feels like yesterday that i was me down there working for tips,” he wrote. “I am going to immediately give each of our 90 hourly employees $1000 to help in the short run as our community and country try to get a handle on the situation.”
He went on to encourage other hospitality companies in Nashville “to take care of their bartenders, bar backs, waitresses, security, dishwashers etc the best they can.” See his post below.
